Born and raised in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria, Mazii’s love for music and entertainment sparked early.
From singing in the church choir to performing drama skits, his first stage was the pulpit and even then, he knew the power of a story.
After moving to Canada, he doubled down redefining his sound, rebranding his image, and sharpening his pen.
With a unique fusion of Afrobeat, hip-hop, and drill, Mazii doesn’t just make music he paints pictures.
Every verse is a chapter, every hook a heartbeat.
From making parodies in high school to shutting down festivals in Winnipeg and hosting his own shows in Hamilton,
his journey is a masterclass in growth, grit, and evolution.
Sharing roots with stars like Rema and Shallipopi, Mazii carries Benin City on his back with pride and precision.
A storyteller at heart, an artist by blood Mazii isn’t just rising, he’s rewriting the narrative.
This is where you’ll find all my upcoming shows and past events. Stay locked in, follow the movement, and pull up when it’s time. The Trybe stays active—don’t miss a beat.
The sound, the vision, the grind all my latest drops in one place
We taking everything that we are owed.
Independent artist Mazii steps into a bold new chapter with the release of his second studio EP, Take Over SZN, arriving on May 30, 2025. The five-track project blends purpose, power, and passion marking a defining moment in the rising Hamilton artist’s career and creative movement.
